Internship opportunities (summer 2023)
All internships are paid positions that work with senior executives, offering a rich and unique learning experience within a successful early-stage startup. Our past interns have gone on to work for Google, AWS, Lyft, Qualcomm and other top-tier technology companies.
Software engineer - opensource
This is an ideal position for anyone who is interested in contributing to leading-edge opensource projects with public visibility. You will work with the CEO to refine, publish and further contribute to opensource projects that solve real-world problems with the latest technology. You will have the opportunity to contribute in the form of coding, scripting, testing, discussing with the community, demo-ing, announcing and more. At the end of your internship, you will have gained experience in opensource publishing and project management, exposure to the latest technologies, and contribution credit to your profile in public forums such as GitHub.
Requirements and skills
Strong programming skills are a must, preferably in at least one compiled language such as C, Go or Rust. Familiarity and/or experience with WebAssembly and TypeScript is a plus
Understanding and appreciation of performance-oriented coding considerations, fundamental algorithms, and complexity theory (big-O, time, space, etc)
Familiarity and/or experience programming, compiling, building and testing in a unix-like environment (such as OSX) is a must. Familiarity with emacs or vim is a plus
Prior experience contributing to open-source projects is a plus (but not required)
Growth and marketing
This is an ideal position for learning about SaaS marketing. You will work with the CEO before, during and after a new SaaS product launch, to assist in planning marketing campaigns, executing initiatives, tracking engagement metrics and analyzing results. Your work will impact, and be impacted by, public content such as social media, private users and related communities related to our enterprise customers, and internal teams such as finance and product management. At the end of your internship, you will have gained a unique experience launching a new SaaS platform against the backdrop of the oft-elusive juxtaposition of SaaS and enterprise technology.

Product
This is an ideal position for learning about product management, SaaS platforms, financial services and/or data integration. You will work with the CEO to ensure that our product maximizes the value delivered to both our customers and our company. You will assist in refining and optimizing the product roadmap to balance users needs, our current and future product capabilities, and ongoing feedback and validation. Your work will impact both our new SaaS platform launch as well as our enterprise customers, and interact internally with marketing and engineering. At the end of your internship, you will have gained a deeper understanding of the role of product management, the data integration competitive landscape, and data user experiences, and broadened your network to include some or all of our enterprise customers who include top-tier Wall Street investment banks, asset managers and other firms.
Requirements

Deep interest in data integration and analytics; familiarity with Excel
Strong familiarity with enterprise- and/or individual-oriented use cases involving tables of data. Familiarity with, or desire to learn, uses related to fixed-income securities is a plus (not a requirement)
Ability to learn new skills and adapt quickly to changing demands
Strong work ethic
Prior relevant experience in growth marketing and/or with a SaaS or enterprise technology is a plus
Skills
Proficient and/or fluent in one or more compilable programming languages (300-level coursework and/or equivalent)
Excel: comfortable using Excel as a common starting place to understand our customer use cases
Communication: participate in discussions with users and customers to better understand their needs
Technical baseline: understanding of technical issues sufficient to inform the evaluation of product development choices
